Located on the south facing wall of the Fox n Fiddle pub downtown Toronto, this mural ad for Koodo Mobile features an 80's cliche fitness model chatting on her mobile phone.

"Join the fat-free mobility movement" was just one of the may catch fraises they ran with.

This was definitely a cooperative piece, with each artist having their own specialization. For a smooth metalic look on the phone, team Motifs used masking & air brushing techniques combined with colour blocking. For the tight detail of the inside of the mouth I did direct brush painting. There where just too many colours and tight shapes for a spray technique to be time efficient. Rottin Ronald did an great job of rendering the girl with the use of spray paint over large areas of colour blocked flesh & hair tones.

To get these large scale ads up we've been projecting them at night and tracing the original photographic images. It' doesesn't reproduce exactly but at least we have a linear guide for appropriate scale.
