About 20' x 10', this mural is located on the west facing wall "the REX" hotel, restaurant & Jazz bar downtown Toronto, this mural ad for Dasani Essentials vitamin enhanced flavored water. "Count vitamins. Not calories."

This was a very challenging mural since it's located above a 3 foot overhang and I would have to move the extention platform into place while up in the air. Not so hard. Getting it pulled back in so that I could come down again... not so easy. Also, since the scissor lift had to face the wall as opposed to running parallel to it, it was a real tight fit moving it from left to right in order to reach both sides of the painting.

I didn't have the luxury of a second lift on the opposite side of the road to project this one so I opted to go with a grid / stencil technique. Hmmm. Over 12 hours of pricy stencil cutting only to arrive and find to space was actually smaller than described. And a whole bunce of guessing size / scale based on approximate square footage...
I had to do a bit of reinterpretting of the original creative to make everything fit.
