RhinoInk Murals - Shabby Sheek Garden Mural with Antique Lamp Posts, A Maple Tree, Flowers, Birds and Butterflies.

There are two antique lamp posts on either side of the room. The arabesque iron work was kept loose and lacy. Ribbons tied to the armature, supporting green glassware vases with small purple flowers, are waving in the breeze. The furniture in the room is a mix & match collection. A similar light colour pallet with distressing to reveal dark material under a loose coat of paint tie them all together. I tried to achieve the same look with the painting technique I used to illustrate these lamp posts.	I painted an emerald hummingbird with pink patches hovering near the bedside light switch.

Along one side of the room there is a row of shuttered windows. Below them I painted a series of flowers. Some of them I put into tea cups or flower pots. I included a caterpillar and some butterflies scattered about the room to add to the garden's charm.

	To get realistic leaves I tried an experimental painting technique where I used decorative fabric leaves as masks over random paint strokes.

A large leafy maple tree in the corner of the room displays a collection of bird houses and a feeder. The blue birds at the feeder are no particular species, I just made them up.
