Criss-crossed branches with blue and green budding leaves are tied together with a big green bow. Dragon flies with green and brown stipes dance among the assorted blossoms. These lacy boughs float above the crib in this pink baby's room.
Inspiration for this room came from and was matched to the bedding. The colours were exaggerated so that they would stand out on the pale pink walls but they still coordinated nicely with the muted tones of the bedding.
There is one main bough that floats above the crib on the main wall and just a couple details on the wall opposite - the reading corner next to a window. The home owners didn't want to over-whelm the space with a lot of wall art but the high ceilings did dictate that the room needed something more than the stripes that decorate the walls below the chair rail.
The design is soft and lacy, girly without being to sugary.
