The primary icon of Kendellhurst Pre-School is an oak tree. It was painted in the main stair well of the building facing the street and all the pedestrian traffic down below
Wild, but friendly, animals were painted around the foot of the tree. There's a fawn, a bear cub, chipmonk, rabbit & raccoon. And butterflies.
The crest in the front entrance of Kendellhurst
Pre-School is about 3'.
The stairwell oak tree is about 15' tall.
That's a lot of individually hand painted oak leaves
blowing in the wind!
Library tree
Location: Streetsville, Ontario About 12 hours
This oak tree was painted in the basement where the ceilings were considerably lower. There is a large oval carpet situated in front of the feature wall defining a library / reading zone.
Cardinal pairs are featured prominantly. The forest creatures gathered at the foot of the tree include a raccoon and skunk, a humming bird and a deer. A squirrel and robin are perched in the tree.
There is a wooden sign that reads "Kindergarten Club" in the right corner.
