Illustration Friday - Frozen
When I'm hot I like a frozen drink. When I'm frozen I like a hot drink. (Too bad about the drink umbrella. Went too dark. Oh well. Pretty happy with the rest.) Medium: coloured pencils Click to enlarge.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Germs were made for sharing. Show them how much you care and lick someone you love today! Medium: ball point pen
Funny thing about having a talent, it's easy to take for granted.
When I was in high school I drew ALL THE TIME. I would spend hours working on a picture, rendering everything with infinite detail.
After I graduated I moved to the big city & started making a life for myself: work, play, work, play... but no drawing... for a whole year!
One day someone asked for a picture & I immediately volunteered.
Much to my surprise, I COULDN"T DRAW!! I was so shocked. Not even stick men looked right! I just assumed I would always have that ability.
I had to teach myself all over again. I spent 2 weeks doing nothing but perfect cursive writing trying to retrain my hand to regain the motor skills. Practice, practice, practice.
