Meet the Artist
About Me
Funny thing about having a talent, it's easy to take for granted.
When I was in high school I drew ALL THE TIME. I would spend hours working on a picture, rendering everything with infinite detail.
After I graduated I moved to the big city & started making a life for myself: work, play, work, play... but no drawing... for a whole year!
One day someone asked for a picture & I immediately volunteered.
Much to my surprise, I COULDN"T DRAW!! I was so shocked. Not even stick men looked right! I just assumed I would always have that ability.
I had to teach myself all over again. I spent 2 weeks doing nothing but perfect cursive writing trying to retrain my hand to regain the motor skills. Practice, practice, practice.
Born in Alberta, spent early childhood in rural Ontario, moved back to Alberta and now I'm back Ontario (GTA).
Attended Alberta College of Art & Design 1997 - 99 and graduated from Sheridan College of Animation & Design (Interpretive Illustration) in 2003.
Company: RhinoInk Illustrations Ltd.
Freelance Artist: illustration, web/graphic design, murals
