Watermark - Image Protection
Original artwork is intellectual property and copyright protected.
Any one viewing your files on the internet can take them. One way to protecting your images is with a watermark. Here is an example of a watermark created with Illustrator. It was then prepared for web in Photoshop. Below you can see it overlaid on an illustration.
Alternatively you if you don't mind other people showing off your work for you, you can always turn it into free advertising by placing your contact information right on the image.
