Mac Won't Open Specific Website

Actually, there are 2 websites this is happening to. Both are clients. I'm the web designer. (http://www.amusingfacts.com and http://www.curvesahead.ca)

• It's not my internet connection - the rest of the web, email, skype... all work fine.
• It's not my browser - Safari, Opera, Firefox... same problem persists. (yes, I cleared the cash, history, reset the browsers)
• It's not my IP. I share an IP with my husband and he can visit the website with his PC. Also, the problem persists wether I use airport at home (Rogers), free wireless at the cafe or ethernet at the bosses office (Bell).

Therefore it's my macbook's settings.

If I create a new location for my system preferences > network settings I can trick the computer into going there. But that lasts for about 15-30 seconds and then I get the message, "Browser can’t open the page “http://www.amusingfacts.com/” because browser can’t find the server “www.amusingfacts.com”. If I go back to the system preferences > network settings and switch locations again the website comes back... serious pain in the backside!

I've found several other forums with people experiencing the same problem but so far I've found no solutions. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Musings

Morning. Love waking up to a cat back massage. I know what she wants. No wet food until supper time. Otherwise she thinks I should get up earlier and earlier. Not good. Having coffee already made when I rise is a good thing. Watching the early day light evolve from velvety grey to vibrant yellow. It's going to be a beautiful day. Love the contrast of warm golden sunlight on the old weathered cedar fence and the dappled blue/purple shadows cast by the trees.

Pretty soon I should become productive.
I've let my coffee get cold.

Projects

I've been thinking about doing this for years. So I may as well up and do it.
One of the things lacking in the category of "Art Books" is a list of assignments. Julia Cameron came close with her "Artist's Date Book" but not quite. I've been looking for a list of assignments, creative thinking projects and challenges. Like when I was in school and the teacher would say, "Today we will draw money but the money has to make a statement about the purpose of money." I've kept lists of illustration ideas and made notes about the best commercial designs I've come across.
I should publish a book of art assignments.

Incidentally, Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle is on sale for only $1.95 (reg $6-$8) and my hair feels FABULOUS!

Warm Ice Cream

I had a bit of vanilla double churned ice cream last night. I was stupid-tired and put the ice cream box away in the fridge instead of the freezer. It didn't melt. It just sort of turned out more like whip cream - full of air. Hugh... I wonder if that's why they can sell this brand so cheep since it only holds 1/2 of what a normal container of ice cream has. I wonder if it has 1/2 the calories.
