Evelyn, grade 12 with dragon head sculpture
I Heart Dragons
Dragons & I go way back. I have the authors like Piers Anthony and Anne McCaffrey to thank for that.
I'm such a geek -& I haven't changed a bit!

The Trophy Soft Sculpture of a Dragon's Head
In the 12th grade I was commissioned to create a soft sculpture of a mounted dragon's head.
It was displayed in a fantasy gaming and book store.

The head is actually a found cow's skull turned backwards and augmented with a wire frame to change the shape a bit. The skin is spandex fabric and stuffed with batting. The head was then mounted on a plaque acquired from a trophy shop.

Halloween 2000 - I frightened small children... hee-hee.

This costume was constructed from bristol board and decorated with holographic stickers. The mouth has a flat bottom piled with loose glitter. I used a straw to "puff" clouds of glittering dragon's breath.

The White Dragon Puppet (below)
This dragon toy is a hand-crafted marionette, created for my niece's birthday. Every stitch was done by hand. (The sewing machine was out of reach and I had a deadline to meet.) It's hide is faux ostrich leather with a pearl finish. It's blue-green glass eyes are recycled sunglass lenses.
A few of the seams are embellished with blue and green clear plastic beads.
